Our Naturally Wild Parrots with Dr. Frank Rutowski, DVM
Our companion parrots are only a generation or two removed from their cousins in the wild. Learning about their natural responses and phenomenon allows us to understand our parrots behaviors and antics. By honoring parrots’ natural behaviors and instincts, we can decrease problem behaviors and stress in our birds.
In this presentation. Dr. Rutowski will discuss the natural life for our parrot species and how we can simulate that life in our homes to keep our birds healthy and happy.

Avian Behavior
In this class you will learn the science of behavior and positive reinforcement training and how to address behavioral issues. The class will be taught by Debbie Foster. Debbie is a Certified Professional Bird Trainer, through the International Association of Animal Trainers and Educators, and a Certified Parrot Behavior Consultant, through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. She is an instructor with the Companion Animal Sciences Institute in the Parrot Division, and a co-instructor with Living and Learning with Animals.
