Fun with Food Workshop
FUN with FOOD is a workshop where we create a chop/mash of fresh foods, grains, and sprouts for your companion parrots. We discuss food options, teach you how to sprout , and ways to make fresh food interesting with the importance of a diverse diet for your birds.
Classes are in Eastern Standard Time
This is an on line workshop via MS Teams. A $12.50 workshop fee is due at sign up. Your workshop kit will include a sprouting mix, a dry mix, GSE and handouts. All kits must be ordered/paid by Friday March 13. All orders need to be picked up at Parrot University by March 18 @ 321 S. Polk St., Pineville, NC 28134. This paid workshop will be recorded and viewable for 90 days. You may audit(attend without kit) this workshop for $5. Shipping is also available: orders must be received by March 13, 2026!

Toy Making
In this class we will teach you one aspect of environmental enrichment, Toy Making. Parrots in the wild spend their day flying, foraging for food, chewing branches, and interacting with their flock mates. It is up to us to provide substitute activities with the focus on "Toys" and how to create them with bird safe materials.

Avian Enrichment
Does the whole idea of enrichment confuse you? Wondering if you're doing it right, wrong, or doing it at all? Debbie will walk us through various categories of enrichment and provide some outside-the-box activities and ideas to keep our birds busy. The right kind of enrichment can prevent boredom and enhance a bird's quality-of-life. A physically engaged bird is a healthier bird. Teaching our birds various active and enriched behaviors will help them to thrive in our homes. Debbie is a certified behavior consultant and professional bird trainer.
